WLAN Navigation using MobileWALK at the Christkindlesmarkt
At Nuremberg's Hauptmarkt, the city's "Christkind", Johanna Heller, invites you to visit what is probably Germany's best-known Christmas market until the 24th of December 2009. This year, "the little town within a town" will be accompanied by an IT2media directory solution.
All the stalls at the Christmas market have been catalogued in the Christmas version of the MobileWALK navigation software and stored digitally in the maps. This means that visitors to the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt can navigate on foot to see the sights, and romantic souvenirs and enjoy the culinary delights as well as display helpful information. As a result, you will easily be able to find the crib in front of the Frauenkirche, for example, or the family Christmas installation on Hans-Sachs-Platz.
The software for WLAN-capable Windows Mobile devices is a joint research project between IT2media GmbH & Co. KG and the Fraunhofer Institute for integrated circuits and is available for download here.
